A technical web talk on Recent Trends in Transport Infrastructure was organized  jointly by the Civil Engineering Department  and  SLNCE Alumni  Association, on Sunday 2^nd August 2020. The resource person was Shri. Abhishek Patil Sr. Traffic Engineer and Transport Modeler, Parsons, Kingdom of Bahrain. All the students of Civil Engineering attended the web talk online.

The resource person  Mr.Abhishek Patil  is also Alumini  of our Institute. His presentation focused on following points in relation to latest trends in Transportation Planning & Design.

    • Brief on Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC)
• Software's used in Transport Planning. The discussion was supplemented by Videos , Software Modules and Design methodologies practiced in Transportation Consultancy Projects.

The Talk was well organised under the guidance of  Dr. R. Basawaraja, Principal and Prof. V. T. Acharya  H.O.D. of Civil Engg Department Prof. Rajagopal Rao was the Coordinator of the Event. All the staff members of the Civil Engineering department attended the talk. The students had good interaction with resource person.
